Out of Stealth and OpenFrame Beta Release
Hey everyone,
We're planning on releasing the OpenFrame Beta in mid-October with MSP Agentic capabilities.
Our new website is live (still unannounced) - scroll to the fourth section to play around with it here.
OpenFrame Core
- SaaS and self-deployment versions of OpenFrame
- Remote Access Control (TeamViewer-like functionality)
- Remote Monitoring and Management (Kaseya/ConnectWise-like functionality)
- Mobile Device Management for endpoint policy enforcement and querying
- Full CLI for local and remote deployment
- Dashboard, API, unified log ingestion
- Full self-onboarding for SaaS with unified auth and separated cloud environments
- Basic testing and billing suite
OpenFrame Agentic MSP (for SaaS only)
- Client-side chat interface called Fae
- Technician-side chat called Mingo
- Approval process between Fae and Mingo
- Pre-configured tool connections for both chats, with the ability to switch between public LLMs
We're also going to announce the funding and officially move out of stealth.
Timeline
- Closed the pre-seed round at the beginning of February '25
- Full team onboarded in April '25
- Launched our community product OpenMSP on July 1st '25
- FUTURE: Launching OpenFrame commercial Beta in mid-October
- FUTURE: Moving to GA on Jan 1st, 2026
Traction
- 38 MSP submissions from the OpenMSP launch (sign-ups, waitlist, and contact forms)
- 3 design partners ready to immediately deploy the Beta
- New website will launch the Beta with a 14-day free trial ungated sign-up
- We are also starting inbound + outbound AI agentic marketing operations with two agencies
Business metrics
- Team of 9 people (mostly engineers)
- Net burn: $65K-$75K/month
- Expecting to launch the Beta with around $1.6M in the bank (out of $2.175M raised)
- We've received inbound interest to extend the round in favorable terms; evaluating opportunistically
I'm also attaching a Slack screenshot from last week where I laid out launch expectations to the team — everyone responded exactly as I'd hoped, showing full alignment heading into Beta.
Ask
We're looking for introductions to strong community managers and GTM engineers who can help us scale our community and agentic marketing efforts.
LFG,
Michael
